Eating Disorders: Causes and Consequences

3. Binge Eating Disorder

It includes constantly consuming enormous quantity of food and does not include any purging. Some individuals may go through overeating on occasion especially on holidays. But for others, overeating is becoming habitual and becomes a binge-disorder. Signs of BED might include – no control over food in take, eats when anxious and bored, rapid weight gain and serious depression. Even though Binge Eating Disorder is the most usual of all eating problems, but it is not considered a distinctive psychiatric problem.
